What is PACTS
PACTS stands for People Against Cell Towers at Schools. Individually we are the people that are constantly at the school volunteering, we are the PTA board members, the class room mom, the citizen picking up trash on the side of the road, the person that goes out of their way to help another. Collectively we are a group of people that, for a number of reasons, do not think Cell towers should be placed on or near school playgrounds.
PACTS has a core group in Hillsborough County which is located in Tampa Florida, however we encourage everyone to learn about the potential dangers of cellular transmitters near children.
Open Gate
The following picture is from Pride Elementary. The gate to the cell phone tower was left carelessly
open. This tower is literally 20 feet from the playground where 900 elementary school children play every day.
This re-enforces the fact that nobody is monitoring the safety of this tower.
Warning Sign
The following picture is from Pride Elementary. This sign is to be posted on the side of the tower fence.
The sign seems to be taken down and put back up frequently. Suspicion is that it is taken down when there are functions
at the school which parents will attend, and then put back up to try to stay in compliance.

Why So Close?
The following picture is from Pride Elementary. This picture shows how close this enormous tower is to the classrooms,
caffeteria and playground. The tower could not be put further away from the school due to SWFTMD regulations that said
the wetlands are protected against any debris that might occur during construction.
